when a person throw a ball inside a moving car it comes to the persons hand.but when he throws the ball outside the moving car the ball dont come to his hand.why?? (the person is throwing the ball upwards)

When the ball is thrown inside the car, both ball and you are in the same reference , speed and direction. But when the ball is thrown up outside the car, before the ball reaches your hand, you would have moved along the direction perpendicular to the ball's movement.
