What is the difference between similar triangles and congruent triangles??

Two triangles are said to be congruent if they are of the same shape and size. Whereas two triangles are said to be similar if they are of the same shape but can be of different sizes, i.e. they have the same proportions. The difference between congruence and similarity is that similar shapes can be resized versions of the same shape, whereas congruent figures have identical lengths.
