Pollination is the process by which the pollen from the anthers is transferred to the stigma of the same or another flower. Fertilization refers to the fusion of the sperm with the egg in the ovule.
Pollination is the prerequisite of fertilization. Fertilization, on the other hand, occurs only after the successful process of pollination.
