what is the difference between phase change and phase difference ? can coherent sources undergo phase changes ?

Phase change is the change in the phase angle (change in the position of waveform, for a more physical visualization) where as phase difference is a comparative term in which we compare two waveforms. All waves have phase changes but two coherent sources have no phase difference
