what is the difference between differentiability and continuity ?

Answer : A function is said to be continuous at a point x=a  iff,
Left hand limit at (x =a) = Right hand limit at (x=a) = f(a) 
 
But in the case of differentiability ,
Left hand derivative at (x=a ) = Right hand derivative at (x=a)
