What do you mean by the force experienced by a conductor placed in a uniform magnetic field?

A current carrying conductor produces a magnetic field around it. When such a conductor is placed in an external magnetic field, both the magnetic fields interact and so the current carrying conductor experiences a force.
This is similar as to when a magnet placed in an external magnetic field experiences a force.
