Fine adjustment is the small inner knob which brings the image into clear focus. It fine tunes the focus and increases the detail of the specimen.
Condenser gathers and focuses light from the illuminator onto the specimen being viewed. It is located under the stage often in conjunction with an iris diaphragm.
In a binocular microscope, the eyepiece tube can swivel so as to allow for different distances between the eyes of different individuals. Hence multiple people with differently spaced eyes can view the image.
