Aromatic hydrocarbons are those which contain one or more benzene rings. These are also called arenes and are hydrocarbons which contain benzene, or some other related ring structure.  Benzene, C6H6, is a ring of six carbon atoms, with alternating double bonds and single bonds.

Those hydrocarbons which do not contain a benzine ring are called aliphatic hydrocarbons.

There is no such term: acromatic compounds.
