Two balls have the same size but one denser than other. Assume that the air resistance is same in each case. Show that when they are released simultaneously from the same height, the heavier ball will reach the ground first.
The retarding force F and g will be same for the two balls.
Net downward acceleration =g-(force/mass)
In case of denser ball, retarding acceleration would be less as mass is more.
Therefore , the net downward acceleration will be greater and it will reach the ground first.
