'Uniform motion' means a constant speed in a straight line (i.e. constant velocity, zero acceleration)

So if you are travelling, for example, at a constant 5m/s east, then your average velocity over any period is 5m/s east, and your instantaneous velocity at any time is also 5m/s east.
