Follow the following steps.
In  the coordinate plane ,on the x-axis consider time in hoursand on the y-axis consider distance in kms.
The speed of the car is 90 km /hr , which means that the  car covers 90 km in one hour.
Plot the (time, distance) points on the graph as (1,90),(2,180),(3,270)---
Join these points .It will be a straight line and the desired graph.
From the point (0.5,0) draw a perpendicular line which intersects the previous line in point P.
The Y coordinate of the point is the required distance. This should be 45 km.
From the point (2.5,0) draw a perpendicular line which intersects the previous line in point Q.
The Y coordinate of the point Q is the required distance. This should be 225 km.
