Here ,  B-A = C-B , 1/C - 1/B = 1/D - 1/C
So in the second equation we get
(B-C)/BC = (C-D)/CD
(A-B)/BC = (C-D)CD
A/B  - 1 = C/D  - 1
A/B  =  C/D
AD = BC
