This is because having two eyes provides us with the following advantages:
  1. It gives a wide field of view over 200 degrees in most humans.
  2. It gives a binocular image in which to compare and to detect faint objects.
  3. It gives a stereo parallax with two eyes in a slight different position and angle on the head to simulate depth perception. In other words, both the eyes make possible to have complete knowledge of the solidity and depth of the object
  4. A person does not become totally blind if one of the eyes of a person gets damaged because of some reason.
