I READ IT THAT ELECTRIC CURRENT FLOWS IN A CONDUCTOR ARE NEGATIVELY CHARGED PARTICLES BUT THE DIRECTION OF CURRENT IS FROM POSITIVE TO NEGATIVE.WHY IS THIS SOOO???

this a very commonm confusipon in students actually the current's direction of flow is taken to be from positive to negative due to an old convension but the direction of flow of electrons is opposite to the flow of current.
It is so because earlier current was thought to be due to flow of positive charge.
