A dihybrid cross is a cross between P generation (parental generation) organisms that differ in two traits. In F1 generation, all hybrids were formed which cross with each other to produce F2 generation. In F2 generation, all progeny produce have variations because the gametes separate and then arrange randomly.
For example, when yellow and round seeds were crossed with green and wrinkled seeds, the ratio of progeny produced in F2 generation is 9:3:3:1.
