evaluate sq. root of (1+sin(x/2))

Answer: Given:(1+sin(x/2)) 1/2
Now, we have
= (1+sin(x/2)) 1/2
= ( sin2(x/4) +cos2(x/4) + sin(x/2)) 1/2    {as  sin2A +  sin2B =1 }
= ( sin2(x/4) +cos2(x/4) + 2sin(x/4)cos(x/4)) 1/2   { as 2sinAsinB = sin2A}
= (( sin(x/4) + cos(x/4)  )1/2         { as a2+b2+2ab = (a+b)2 }
=  sin(x/4) + cos(x/4) Answer
