Commercially available concentrated sulphuric acid contains 93% acid by mass and has a density of 1.84 g/mL. Calculate the molarity and molality of the solution

93%    by mass means that 93 g of  ??   is present in 100 g of solution.
volume of 100 g of solution = mass/density
                  =100 /1.84 =54.3 mL
 Moles of  = 93/98 =0.95 mol
Molarity = (0.95 x 1000) / 54.3
            = 17.5 M
 
 
Molality = (0.95 x1000 ) /7
            = 135.7 m
