a dipole has no charge since it has 2 equal and opposite charges. but it still has an electric field. then why does a neutral condutor having equal and opposite charges in it does not have an electric field?

One can notice that in dipole the two charges are at some distance not at  the same point. Thats why the electric field due to dipole is not zero.
