# A battery of emf 10V and internal 3 ohm is connected to a resistor.If the current in the circuit is 0.5A,what is the resistance of the resistor?What is the terminal voltage of the battery when the circuit is closed.

emf of battery=10v
r, internal rssitance of battery=3 ohmscurrent in th circuit,I=0.5A
Resistanc of the rsistor=R
Ohm's law
I=E/(R+r)
So, R=17 ohms
Terminal voltage of the reesistor=V
Ohm's law states that
V=IxR
So, V= 8.5V
