2SO2(g)+O2(g)=2SO3(g)+heat. How is the position of equilibrium affected if: (a) The volume of the vessel is increased. (b) The temperature is increased. (c) An inert gas is introduced at constant pressure.

(a) There would be no effect on the equilibrium when volume of the vessel is increased.
(b) On increase of temperature, the equilibrium would shift in endothermic direction.
(c) Addition of an inert gas will have no effect on the position of equilibrium.
