CBSE Likely to Bring Changes to the Education System

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may bring certain changes to its education system. According to the Board authorities, the CBSE is planning to discard the General Promotion facility and Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), which had been in the system for the last five years.

Six years before, CBSE had launched the facility of general promotion up to Class 8. Under this provision, students of Class 9 and 10 were not declared failed even on scoring less marks; they were given a chance for improvement. This practice is more or less similar to the general promotion.

The present education system is classified into two parts—formative assessment and summative assessment. However, these have brought about improper advancement and are working against the standard of education. To work against the barriers created in child development, CBSE will strive to bring about positive changes for the betterment of students.
