CBSE: Fees charged should be proportionate to facilities provided

In an important circular issued on September 29, the CBSE has made it very clear that by October 31, affiliated schools have to disclose the fees charged on the CBSE and their respective websites. This step was taken after CBSE received complaints from parents that a number of schools were charging exorbitant fees in the name of providing facilities.

The circular further explained that the affiliation byelaws of the Board stipulates that fees charged should be commensurate with the facilities provided by the institution.
